Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the wild west in a wonderful game for early level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the house, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers bet against other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, starting players do not have to worry about any other, more skillful people winning their moolla.
Another Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, rookies can take their time and scheme while not having to make quick choices.
It’s also easier to participate in for an extended time with only a small amount of cash seeing as, to not win, both of your hands needs to be lower than both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is given seven cards faces showing and the casino gets seven cards faces hidden.
One five card hand and one two card hand must be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
